I found these great vintage green trays at a sale a couple weeks ago. I left without them and then HAD to go back for them. I can see these being great for decoupage, decorative painting, altered art… etc! I decided to buy ALL of the set. I put them in my shop to share with you!
Here’s a little card I made with my paper from Sandy and I used the sewing on paper technique that Julie contributed to the Artful blogging party. That’s not as easy as it looks and I’m a “professionally trained” seamstress lol! I sewed a cutout from a vintage greeting card onto the wallpaper and then some satin ribbon trim.
I did make it to all the parties finally! Whew! So much inspiration out there!
I’m also signed up for Artsymama’s Sweet and Sinister swap. My partner is Maria! I can’t wait to get started on this as Halloween and 4th of July are my two favorite Holidays!
Just a quick note to let you know I’m listing some new items on Etsy. I had some fun altering a couple tin boxes. I got a bag of canceled stamps at a garage sale, wasn’t sure what I would use them all for, but decided to alter these tin boxes. I still have tons of stamps left and will be listing them in my Etsy shop as well. I certainly can’t use as many as I found!
Two packages today! The first one is from Sandy what a sweetie she is! She sent me this great vintage flocked wallpaper she found. How cool is that! I’m so inspired by it! I have a large round tin that I see this covering and top it with some of her paper flowers she made for the artful blog party. I’m also inspired by her generosity! One of my blogging buddies can be expecting a surprise little something I found and immediately thought of “this” person!
The second package… see next post!
Well the waiting is over! My package arrived from Carolyn in the UK! We did a swap with a bird themed collage and some misc supplies. She’s a great swap partner, very generous! I’m so happy with everything! My apologies for the crummy pictures, I’m trying to do this while my kids eat lunch, I’m too excited to wait til nap time! The collage is awesome and I’ve already hung it up in my work space. I’m so inspired by all my new supplies! Now if she had just sent me some extra hours in the day lol! I can’t say enough about it, so many trinkets and treasures to play with.
Vintage linens! Wonderful! Thankyou so much Caorlyn, hope you get your parcel today and enjoy it as much as I do yours!
Whew! Feeling accomplished! I haven’t gotten to any of my creative team commitments yet and the month is half gone! My wonderful hubby took the kids out to his folks house to go swimming tonight and left me home with some free time, what a guy! I got my layouts done for Bonnie! You can see the full credits in my DST gallery The background papers are all from her Cardboard Graph kit at Snap and Scrap.
(I’d link ya there but they are down for maintenance)
I am still trying to get to all the Parties, so I don’t have much to share. I’m VERY behind on my CT duties! Must get working on that. In the mean time I wandered off and found this very interesting article about Andy Warhol’s ephemera collection…
