I’ve finally managed a collage for Artsymama’s Everyday Notions challenge #2 Sharing & Emptiness. I chose to work on emptiness, in the form of clearing off my project to do list! I seem to have many intentions and not enough time. I’m sure you all can relate! I cleared some time, here and there, and concentrated on getting projects completed. I made my list and stuck it in my art journal. As I made my way down the list, I added scraps from my projects to the collage and happily crossed the items off the list. Then when I was finished with it all, I decided it would be nice to have a visual as to what I had created for each project. So, I took pictures of everything and then printed them and added them to the collage. I’m really not happy with the way the collage turned out, however, I am ecstatic with the process and the goal being met!
Thought maybe you would like to see the projects as well as the collage, so here’s the pictures. Although, I was so thorough on the baby gift that it is all wrapped and ready to ship! So all you see is the package, but I really did sew a hooded towel and finger tip towel bib, I promise!

I’ve been working on this project for months now! I had this old coffee table on my porch, previously our livingroom table, then in the basement, finally the porch. It was oak, then painted brown, then I decided to paint it white and decoupage the top with wrapping paper. I then decided I needed matching chairs, it took me awhile but I finally found them at a garage sale for $1 each! Painted them white and then finally this weekend, decoupaged them! And appliled an outdoor sealer!

We were out mowing the lawn last night and I thought, WOW it looks good. It’s been a few years since we’ve had a nice lawn. We’ve been in a drought for so long but this year we are getting rain! My flowers are just so pretty! I can’t decide to cut or leave them! Anyway, I took a few pictures this morning to share…

I’m having scrapping withdrawl! I need to find some time to open photoshop and scrap!!!! ugh! Anyway, I’ve been working on a few pieces for sale. Decopage has been my medium of choice lately and I decorated these birdhouse gourds with wrapping paper and other trims. I also embellished these cute little metal mailboxes and made a set of coordinating mini cards to go with them. Haven’t decided which store they will go in… stay tuned

Handmade Cheer

Here is another LO from Bonnie’s newest kit, Handmade Cheer from Snap and Scrap. I also used Christine Smith’s Paint brushes, the font is Cooper Black. My kids playing with the sidewalk chalk and paint. I don’t know if there is more on them or the driveway lol! At least it washes off easily. That’s about it for today.
